#475 The Meme Wedding Proposal

When I heard Nuffnang founder, Timothy Tiah proposed to his girlfriend, celebrity blogger, Audrey Ooi, or better known as FourFeetNine, I had no idea what's the story behind the proposal.

I do not know them both personally, but being a blogger myself, obviously I know who these two are. If I had interned at Nuffnang as planned (this was about two years back I think), Tim would have been my big boss lol.

Anyway.

A few days after hearing the news on the newly engaged couple, I saw a tweet on Twitter, something about their proposal being on 9gag. I clicked on it, and I couldn't help but smile, laugh, and look at the pictures of the meme proposal over and over again.

Also, Tim and Audrey gave the green light for Crazy Monkey Studio to publish their wedding proposal on Vimeo.

When I saw the video, I couldn't help but cry and cry and cry. I think I cried for a good two hours -.-

The story of their proposal went viral. It was on Gizmodo, AND Mashable. Even Ryan Seacrest Facebook-ed it!

Their video also caught Christina Perri's attention because 'A Thousand Years' was used for the video!

If there was a 'Proposal of the Year' award, I think Tim's proposal to Audrey would win, hands down.  Despite the fact that Tim used the philosoraptor meme wrongly, or so I've read, it really doesn't matter. I still think the proposal was super winning! Probably one of the best proposals I've ever read about and watched. Ever.

I'm now reading the 'Top 10 Geekiest Marriage Proposal' article on Mashable.

Good luck to all guys out there who are planning to propose to their girlfriends, especially if the girlfriend has watch the video of Tim's proposal to Audrey LOL!

No, just kidding, I'm sure your girlfriend would be okay with however you propose to her :)
