#494 LiP SMACKER

From my last post, you'd see that I'm venturing into giving myself a makeover, so to speak.

I've been experimenting on looks that might look good on me, which does not only apply fashion wise (if I even have a tiny bit of fashion sense left in me), but also beauty wise. All that I have been doing are only simple make ups - powder, eyeliner, coloured lip balm. Yep, those are the only things I've been working on. I know I need to work on eye shadow, and perhaps blusher too, but at the moment, I haven't got a chance to test the look coz I haven't gotten the need to have elaborate make up on. Unless some fancy event comes up and I get to go, then perhaps then I'd get to test out the look.

So, like I mentioned, I've been using coloured lip balm. You know, the ones that gives out colour when you apply them on. The reason behind this is because, I don't really fancy lipsticks, and also because I have extremely dry and cracked lips, beyond repairable. Even Vaseline doesn't help.

Got a little gift the other day! :D

LiPSMACKER 01

What is it?
LiP SMACKER Original lip gloss. A colourless, watermelon flavoured, lip balm.

LiPSMACKER 02

What does it do?
It moisturizes, softens, and smoothens the lips.

Yes, it comes in many different flavours. I got the watermelon flavour. Need to try the cotton candy one! :O

The packaging
I love the colour on this product! The shade of green and pink just works! It's super light, obviously, weighs only four grams. Super small, makes easy to be brought anywhere! Put it in your pocket, and you're good to go!

It doesn't glow in the dark though LOL! If you put it in your handbag filled with rubbish, it might take some time to look for it! Still waiting to see if there's such product :P

The smell
I opened the cover and smiled with glee as the familiar smell reached me. Watermelon flavoured Bubble Yum bubble gum - that's exactly how it smelled like. Just a whiff, and I was in love :)
I wonder if the smell will ever wear off though.

The texture
It's soft and light, makes it easy to apply on. It just glides on the lips, just like that.

Upon application, like any other lip balms, it has that lip balm feel to it, but not as heavy as how Vaseline would feel on your lips. This was light, and not as shiny as Vaseline, but shiny enough for people to know that you have something on your lips. It's called a lip gloss, because of the glossy finish to it, not because it actually it a lip gloss, like the ones you apply on after applying lipsticks.

The taste
Yes, I actually did lick my lips to try. Only because it smelled like watermelon on my lips and I just had to!

For one, it definitely taste better than Vaseline! When they say it's flavoured, I think it's more of the smell than the actual flavour because there wasn't any watermelon flavour when I licked my lips. But it definitely has the lip balm taste - the oil, beeswax. Basically, it has lickability due to the smell! :D

The price
RM9.90 at local drugstores like Guardian, Watsons, and SASA outlets.

If you ask me, I think the price is pretty okay. Not too expensive, and not too cheap either. It's affordable, if I must say.

Overall
I absolutely love the watermelon flavoured LiP SMACKER Original lip gloss! Definitely a great addition to my soon-to-grow (hopefully) make up collection. Can wear it on days that I don't feel like wearing make up, or when I just stay at home. It's so weird to have red lips when you're just at home, watching the telly ahaha!

If you ask me, I think I'll stick to this for a while over Vaseline to see if it works on my beyond repairable dry and cracked lips. If it works, my next purchase for lip balm would definitely be this one, with a different flavour though ;)
Actually, even if it doesn't fix my lips, I might just buy the other flavours. To just, you know, have a whiff at it ehehe!

#493 Fashionspiration, Part II

I've blogged once about wanting to change my "look", whatever that "look" was.

Having always been a jeans and t-shirt girl, I've never really looked at myself in the mirror and be completely happy with my look. I mean, jeans and t-shirt, all the time, how boring can I get? -.-
But most of all, how lazy can I get? Haha, really lazy actually :P

Make up, dressing up; takes ages! I kid you not ._.
I've recently purchased falsies from this blogshop, and man, it took forever just to put them on! I had them on for two hours, and I didn't even go out with them. Just sat in front of my laptop, trying to get used to them being there.

Went out for lunch with Ashikin, Raymond, and Ken Ming the other day, and I wore a dress I bought from Hanie, who is selling a few other pre-loved stuff to fund point8cam's birthday surprise!

Whatchu think? How do I look? :)

Been on Lookbook quite often these days too. Here are some looks that I might want to try one day!

And here's a Lookbook-ish picture of me, when I went to Pavilion the other day with The Sister.

Meanwhile, till I find someone to sponsor my shopping (hey, a girl can dream!) or till I have extra cash (which is almost never), I need to make sure I wear the dresses I bought all the way from ASOS, based in the UK! That's United Kingdom to you, not Ulu Klang -.-

Oh, and before I forget! Here's today's advice!

#492

Holy smokes, I've been slacking majorly at the whole 'Today's Advice' thing T_T

But before I post them up..

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEARRRRR! Gong xi, gong xi!

The Father brought home THREE boxes of those big mandarin oranges, and one box of those small oranges! 8D
But we kept one box and the small oranges. The rest followed The Mother back to Johor when she went back to clear some land stuff over the weekend. On her way back, she and my aunt stopped at Johor Premium Outlet for shopping, without me! But issokay, I got three new tshirts ehehe :D

Anywho, here are advices meant to be for past days - Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and today.

LOL at the last advice. All I did today (technically, yesterday) was laze around like a giant overfed seal! I kid you not. I spent the entire day, watching the telly. And eat.

Someone shoot me, I'm becoming a couch potato @_@
